The history of the Hotel Villa Claudia

In 1978, after many years of working abroad in Switzerland Maria and Giordano Gradara invested their experience and savings in the new Hotel Villa Claudia.
The hotel is run by the family and follows in the tradition of hoteliers coming from the Romagna region, the service offered by the hotel also reflects Swiss punctuality and attention to detail and the combination of these elements led to a great deal of success in a very short amount of time. In fact, in 1994 Giordano began building a new section of the hotel, which increased the number of rooms from 18 to the 31 available today

Today

The hotel has 31 rooms consisting of two different types: the comfort and the super-comfort room. Giordano’s son and daughter Pietro and Francesca now run the hotel along the original guidelines of their father, in order to make their guests feel welcome in a modern, safe (conforms to all fire regulations), hotel which is, eco-friendly (minimum environmental impact) and above all is run by the Gradara family who make their clients feel completely at home. Our management cares deeply about satisfying the needs of families with children of all ages.

Hotel and facilities

The main priorities of our hotel’s staff and management have always been friendliness and attention to our guest’s requests, especially towards those families with children.
The Villa Claudia Hotel is situated in a very peaceful area directly on the beach front and is surrounded by a fresh, spacious, well-tended garden.

All rooms have a safe, a private bathroom and a spacious balcony with chairs (the new super-comfort rooms are especially big and all have a shower cubicle, a hairdryer, a television, air conditioning and a breathtaking view of the sea). The Hotel has a lift and air conditioning in the dining room and the hall.

We take pride in using carefully prepared fresh products in our home-made cuisine while at the same time offering choice and a variety of menus. Fish is available everyday, as is a hot and cold vegetable buffet at lunch and dinner, in addition to a generous breakfast buffet. The finer palates will definitely discover that our wine list has an excellent selection of wines. The chef is always available to cook special meals for the little ones (vegetable soups, purées) and we can also provide you with high chairs at your dinner table and safety railings for beds: all of this is free from any extra charge.
